What a nite. Not only was it Laiah's first
Halloween, but it was also Steve's mother's birthday. Maybe I have too much Halloween on
the brain, but some of the pics are a little spooky, if you look very close. See if you notice yourself!

10/28/07 Laiah's first swing & carousel ride.

Today was quite an exciting day
for Laiah. As you can see in
the pictures/video she had a
blast on the swing at Hemisphere Park.
It is equally as fun for Steve and I to see Laiah
filled with such joy.

She also rode the carousel for
the first time. This wasn't a
typical carousel, it has history.
The ride was built in 1918, all handcarved
horses. It was put into "Kiddie Land" in 1935.
Not only does Steve have childhood memories
associated with this park, but so does his
father. Noe, Steve's dad, claims that
he never actually rode the rides but his
younger siblings did. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Fall Fun 2007

All in a day's work.

Just a peak at our normal day. Once in awhile we'll let Laiah get messy, covered head to toe, with food. This was one of those days.

Family, San Antonio style.

Welcome to the Barrera household. The first half of the pics were taken when Steve's brother Noe, his wife Katie and their daughter Victoria came to San Antonio. As you scroll down you will see several pics of Steve's nieces Uriel and Gabriel. I even found a good pic of Sonya (steve's sister) sitting with his girls, and Laiah. This made me realize that I don't have a pic of Sonya's husband Kevin. I will add more as I take them.

These pics were taken on one of our mini-trips downtown. If our dewy "glow" hadn't given it away, it was SO hot this particular saturday. We all were pouring buckets. Most of the pics are of the riverwalk. We stopped at a riverside resturante to get a something to drink, and escape the sun.
The tree in pic below is located inside the historic Alamo. I took a pic because the tree was amazing, and atleast 150yrs old. It was transplanted ( non pun) in 1850, from Europe.
